We have installed advanced imaging equipment and software to produce high quality medical images and increase patient comfort.

CT Scanning (low dose CT)

TrueScan Radiology is proud to have the Siemens SOMATOM Perspective low dose CT scanner. This high end CT scanner produces superior quality images at extremely low dose. It features ADMIRE (Advanced Modeled Iterative Reconstruction), which is the latest iterative reconstruction algorithm from Siemens. This scanner is capable of producing superbly detailed 3D pictures and performing a wide range of studies including cardiac scans, CT angiography, CT colonography, CT arthrography and CT cholangiography. Because of it's fast speed, scanning time is minimised and patient comfort is increased. In addition to film/paper prints, digital images are provided on CD-rom.


TrueScan Radiology has state of the art Philips Affiniti and Philips iU22 ultrasound machines.


TrueScan Radiology uses the advanced Shimadzu RAD-SPEED x-ray unit and a state of the art Canon CXDI Direct Radiography (DR) system, allowing us to produce high quality images. This technology increases patient comfort by reducing the time required for an examination, enhances images, significantly reduces the need to re-take images and also reduces radiation dose.

3D Mammography/Tomosynthesis

TrueScan Radiology is proud to now offer tomosynthesis (also known as 3D mammography) for our patients using the Siemens MAMMOMAT inspiration. 3D mammography (breast tomosynthesis) is a newer technology that helps to eliminate most detection challenges with traditional 2D mammography. Studies with 3D mammography show cancers and abnormalities are found earlier, significantly improving the detection rate compared with 2D mammography alone.

Dental Imaging (Cone Beam, OPG & Cephalometry)

TrueScan Radiology uses the state of the art Sirona Orthophos SL 3D unit. This advanced unit is capable of producing cone beam images which is the latest type of dental imaging used for planning implants as well as assessing the position of impacted teeth and other pathology in relation to anatomical structures such as nerves and sinus walls. It is also capable of producing superbly detailed standard OPG and cephalogram images using Direct Conversion Sensor (DCS) technology. DCS technology converts x-rays directly into electrical signals, with no information loss due to light conversion. This results in razor-sharp, high-contrast panoramic X-ray images of exceptional quality.
