X-Ray
X-Ray imaging uses a small amount of radiation to create detailed images of specific areas of the body. Different tissues absorb radiation in varying amounts, with dense structures like bones appearing white and softer tissues, such as muscles, appearing grey. This common and quick imaging method is widely used to evaluate a range of medical conditions. X-Rays may be performed while you’re standing or lying down, depending on the exam. While the process is painless, some positioning during the procedure might cause slight discomfort. A referral from your healthcare provider is required for an X-Ray. At Truescan Radiology, most X-Ray exams do not require an appointment, so you can visit your nearest clinic at your convenience.
